Description The Datacenter Network Administrator is an experienced and motivated professional responsible for supporting the Global Network for our client. The successful candidate will monitor and maintain the health of the network, tune performance, troubleshoot & resolve network issues, pro-actively ensure stability while providing reports on activity, quality and performance of networks.

You must possess strong communication, technical, analytical and problem solving skills. You have to provide superior support to technical teams, be able to adapt to change, work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, be a forward thinker, give high attention to detail, be organized and be able to assimilate knowledge quickly. You have to maintain positive working relationships, be able to work in a team environment and independently, be able to multi task, and be highly confidential & discrete.

What will you do?
•Monitor and maintain network performance and troubleshoot network outages within specified SLA
•Escalate critical incidents as necessary while keeping stakeholders informed
•Configure, operate, and recommend improvements to network infrastructure
•Affirm traffic flow by routinely review and audit logs and configuration on an ongoing basis
•Assist the Network Engineer with network troubleshooting, and architecture/topology design and implementation.
•Ensure proper documentation of network processes, systems and configurations
•Support the configuration, installation and testing of equipment, including custom hardware platforms by field technicians
•Perform daily network health checks, address issues and document results
•Follow incident and change management processes
•Use proprietary and industry standard monitoring and analysis tools as required
•Ensure optimal network performance through detailed monitoring and analysis
•Troubleshoot system hardware, software, networks, running system load/stress testing and escalating application problems to corresponding teams and/or vendors.
•Work with external vendors and service providers to develop, test, evaluate and integrate technology enhancements and new functionalities.

What are we looking for?
•Bachelor's or Master’s degree in telecommunications, computer science or equivalent
•3 to 5 years of experience as a network administrator/engineer
•Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS-ENT, JNCIP-ENT
•Refine understanding of all accepts of network traffic protocols and device architecture
•In-depth knowledge of scripting in Linux environment (Windows is an asset)
•Exhaustive knowledge of OSI layer 1-3
•Willingness to learn unfamiliar or new technology that’s beyond industry standard
•Readiness to work outside of comfort zone
•Experience with financial information protocols is an asset
•Experience in telecommunication networks is an asset
